A Special Talk on “Recent Trends in Bio-Technology”
A Special Talk on “Recent Trends in Bio-Technology” is organized on 28.01.2020. Dr.Ligi Milesh, Assistant Professor, School of Applied Sciences, REVA University, Bengaluru is invited as a Resource Person. She spoke about Hybridoma Technology and ELISA technique. These two techniques are used profusely in diagnosing diseases. She has covered the other techniques that have been devised to produce rare and medicinally valuable molecules and to diagnose diseases and cure them through Bio-Technologically derived proteins and polypeptides. She also focused on the impact of Bio-Technology on health food, agriculture and environment protection. She has also enlightened the Staff and Students on the production of monoclonal antibodies, Trypanosma evansiparasite diagnosis which is used to cure Surra disease identified in animals.
She said “ ELISA” Technique is very useful in treating different types of diseases especially HIV. The programme was inaugurated by Principal Dr.G.Rajashekhar. Dr.Gowramma, HoD, welcomed the gathering. Smt Anuradaha executed the programme. Miss.Nandini proposed the vote of thanks.
