A Special Lecture on the topic “Amino Acids”
A Special Lecture on the topic “AMINO ACIDS” was organized on 26/09/2019 at 09.00am. Prof. V. V. Sureshbabu, Department of Chemistry, Central College Campus, Bangalore University, was invited as a Resource Person.
During his lecture, he explained the basic components of amino acids and its applications in today’s life. The synthesis of amino acids by simpler method and its characterization and the utilization of amino acids for the proteins synthesis. The amino acids are the back bone of proteins and the peptide bonds and the chemistry of peptides and other aspects of amino o acids also discussed during his talk.
Dr.G.Rajashekar, Principal, presided over the function. Dr. T. R. Ravikumar Naik Coordinator, welcomed and introduced the Chief Guest. Dr.D.Nagesa Sastry, Head, Department of Chemistry proposed vote of thanks and Department Staff, Other faculty members & Students were present and witness the programme.

A Special Lecture on the topic “Periodic Properties” was organized on 12/10/2019 at 09.00am. Prof.K.H.Shivaprasad, Department of Chemistry, VSK University, Ballari, was invited as a Resource Person.
During his talk Professor was explained the basic elements of periodic table. The discovery of periodic table and the groups of periodic tables. The electronic configuration, Ionisation energy, Electronagativity of the periods was convenced to the graduates and post graduates during his talk. And also he explained the importance of the periodic table in science.

A Special Lecture on the topic “Chemistry of Acid-Base Theory” was organized on 16/10/2019 at 09.00am. Prof. T. Suresh, Department of Chemistry, VSK University, Ballari, was invited as a Resource Person.
During his talk Professor was explained the acid and basic behavior of atoms present in the periodic table. The strong acid and strong base concepts and their values which affects the bond formation with weak acids basses. Prof also explained the formation of covalent bond by these concepts and HSAB concepts for the post graduates and graduates.
