Celebration of “World Skill Day" & Organization of Job Fair
Job Fair is organized on the eve of World Skill Day celebration on 15/07/2019 in association with District Employment Exchange Office, Ballari. It is inaugurated by the Chairman of the College Shri Gonal Rajashekhar Goud. While addressing the students, he said, slow efforts to create job opportunities and constantly increasing number of graduates caused for the problem of unemployment in India. It is unfortunate that the people who are capable to work are not getting suitable jobs. This caused for individual and social problems. Education should lead foundation for individual’s life. The educational institutions of the present day should give much importance for developing practical knowledge and skills. He suggested establishing echo friendly industries. Education will not complete merely by acquiring knowledge in the text book. The knowledge acquired through participation and experience would provide permanent solution to the challenges of life easily. He called on the students to take part actively in curricular and co-curricular activities to gain diverse experiences.
The Chief Guest Shri Hattappa, District Employment Exchange Officer spoke about various schemes introduced by the Government to develop employment skill among the youth. Dr.G.Rajashekhar, Principal, presided over the function. On this occasion, he advised the students to make use of available opportunities for capacity building. Totally 21 companies participated in the job fair and conducted interview for eligible candidates. About 880 candidates have come from different parts of Karnataka and registered their names for taking part in interviews. Of which 313 candidates have been selected by different companies. Shri Siddaram G Mulaje executed the programme and Ms.Nirupama sung prayer song.
