Placement Cell

The cell constantly interacts with prospective employers and invites them for campus recruitment. The cell counsels the students and tries its best to solve the career problem meticulously in the interest of the students. Many students have been selected in the campus interviews conducted by the reputed companies like Infosys, wipro, L&T, Tata Consultancy services and Apex Laboratories.

Veerashaiva College, Bellary has very active placement cell right from 2004-2005. In the year 2008-2009 it has involved itself in various activities right from training students for written & interview stages of cororate companies to conduction campus interviews.

At the beginning of the year, the placement cell has enrolled students for its training course around 160 students from all the branches of final year degree classes viz. B.Com, BBM, B.Sc. BA, B.Sc. (Bio-technology)  & BCA have enrolled themselves for training programme

Placement cell has eight project genesis trained lecturers to take up  training classes in Analytical skills and Language Enhancement stream. To face the written test, all the students have been issued a four hundred pages Xeroxed study materials. Two of our staff members Prof. M Jani Baig and Prof. B.O.Satyanaryana Reddy, was deputed from 16th June 2008 to 28th June 2008 to under go training in Train the Trainers programme conducted by Infosys Leadership Institute , Mysore Prof. A Mallikarjunappa has attended a two day workshop at the same campus, Mysore on 8th & 9th April 2009 to discuss various issues in recent trends in placement activities of the colleges.
