A Special Talk and Book Release function were jointly organized by the Department of Zoology & Bio-Technology on 13/03/2019 at 11.30am in Room No.19. Prof.B.B.Kalmali, Retired Vice-Chancellor, Davanagere University, Davanagere, inaugurated the progamme by lighting the lamp. In his inaugural speech, he expressed the opinion that the books preserve complete knowledge of life in all the times and transmit to the young generation. He insisted on the Teachers to adopt innovative teaching methods and combine empirical knowledge with bookish knowledge while teaching the students. The field of education is not only growing but also changing very fast. In response to this, the teachers should develop diverse capacities in their teaching career. On this occasion, he also gave a special talk “The Role of Bio-Technology in Human Welfare”. The Chairman of the College Shri Gonal Rajashekhar Goud made presidential remarks. He suggested the teachers to involve in writing text books and research articles so as to increase the horizon of knowledge. Dr.G.Rajashekhar, Principal also spoke on this occasion. He said reading of books provide new thoughts and ideas which take society towards progress and orderliness. Shri Palleda Pampapathi, Ex-Secretary and present M.C.Member released the book. Dr.K.Basappa, Publisher, Gayathri Publication, Ballari, spoke about the role of publishers in publishing books. The authors of the book Shri G Mallana Goud and Dr.Veda Vyasa Sagar were present in the programme. Smt.B.Hema compeered the programme. Smt.K.Anuradha welcomed the guests. Shri Veda Vyasa Sagar introduced the chief guest. Dr.Gouramma, HoD of Bio-Technology, organized and compeered the special talk.
