Valedictory Function of NAAC sponsored National Seminar
Valedictory Speech - Prof. Tulasi Mala, Registrar (Academic), V.S.K. University, Ballari.
The valedictory function was held on 16/02/2019 at 04.30pm. Prof. Tulasi Mala, Registrar (Academic), V.S.K. University, Ballari, delivered valedictory speech in the closing ceremony. She said that expansion of advanced learning facilities and inclusion of disadvantaged groups would bring quality in education. She informed the teachers to play a decisive role in developing language skills, communication skills and technical expertise among the student community. She also suggested to pay more attention to the improvement of quality in the institutions of Hyderabad – Karnataka region, since the learning capacity of students is low.
Shri Gonal Rajashekhar Goud, Chairman, Veerashaiva College, Ballari and SBBN College of Education, Hosapete, presided over the function. In his presidential remarks, he insisted upon the need of changing policies and strategies of education in accordance with the demands of time. Then only education can contribute to human development. Shri Akki Shivakumar, Chairman, A.D.B. First Grade College, Harapanahalli, was present on the dais.
A total 152 teacher participants and 37 research scholars from States like Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka participated in two days national seminar. All the participants actively involved in deliberations on both the days. About 48 papers were presented in paper presentation sessions. The impact of technical sessions and other deliberations on the participants was indelible.
The Management, the Principal, the Staff and Students expressed a sincere gratitude to Prof.S.C. Sharma, Director, NAAC & Dr.Latha Pillai, Advisor, Southern Region, NAAC and the whole staff of NAAC for having provided us an opportunity with financial assistance to take up such a mega event at our College. We whole heartedly appreciate the initiations of NAAC in respect of improvement of quality at Higher Educational Institutions of our Country. The resource persons and the paper presenters have expressed their appreciative feelings for the financial initiative taken by NAAC for organizing this kind of National Seminar in order to be helpful to many Higher Educational Institutions which have been struggling hard in improving the quality in various aspects of education. Organization of this Seminar in Hyderabad-Karnataka region helped the Teachers to acquire sufficient information about the measures to be adapted for the improvement of quality and to initiate activities for capacity building among the students. In this regard, we the Teachers of this region are ever grateful to NAAC, Bengaluru.
